The Nine Pound Hammer
In the book The Nine Pound Hammer, Ray, an orphan, goes on an adventure to go find his dad. This book takes place from Massachusetts all the way down to the southern United States around the 1800s. Before he leaves, his father gives him this stone that he calls the lodestone; it is like a magnet that is always telling him where to go. Ray gets on a train, on loan to him, with his little sister, and other orphans at the adoption center. Ray leaves his sister on the train down South and begins a quest to find what the lodestone is taking him to. Ray's adventure is interesting as he makes friends with two people, meets a pirate queen, almost dies six times. To escape from the pirate queen, Ray bets his life that his friend can pull a boat out of a bank. Dead or alive, Ray's body will end up back on the train.
My Bio
My name is Anthony Raines. I have one dog. He is a puppy named Gus. When we got him in May, he had never seen snow because, he was born on December 14, 2017. He is one now, though. He was the runt of the litter and very shy until he met us! My name though is Anthony, if you didn't already see that. It is an Italian name, and I am mostly Italian. My mom picked this name for me because, it's her favorite boy's name. My favorite thing in the whole world is my dog; he is so cute and there is even a picture of him if you scroll down. I also love Chevy Silverados, and this is the one I hope to get some day. My favorite genre of book to read is historical fiction. If there was one person that I would meet, it would be Thomas Edison when he was a kid. I want to meet him because he was so interesting, but people thought he was addled. Back then though his ideas where crazy, but now they aren't.
